Mmmmm Hotlegs definitely copped their sound but Space Hymns would not have had that gusto without the Hot- 10cc backing and they did it at no charge, never took royalties and recorded it at their Strawberry Studios , so they paid their dues, that being said ‘Glass Top Coffin’ was also great and Spiteri did a great job backing them . Their only real competition was Mandalaband where the entire album was sung in ancient Egyptian . In some cases early Illusion seemed to have adapted their sound, although the same period I think . In hindsight they were certainly unique and lived their dream and vision, the debut brought many blessings into my life
